These animals are not a direct threat to your fortress, as they won't actively seek out targets and are generally skittish. However, predictably, a Giant Ibex is quite dangerous to any unarmored dwarf. It has hooves, horns, and it's giant. These can even be a threat to your militia, as they deal heavy blunt and stabbing damage.
