I've developed a pump method to penetrate an n-level aquifer digging the same size squares on each level. However, it seems there are very many publicized methods for aquifer penetration already. Is anyone interested?
If it's a generally simple one, yes, very much so! I haven't found a published method that is my ideal. That being start size = end size, and each layer is identical. --Edward 16:22, 12 April 2008 (EDT)

The world generation changes from 0.27.176.38a to 0.27.176.38b have made my world generate as 'The Realm of Cyclones' instead of 'The Realm of Soul'. My dwarves can no longer sing the blues. 'The Realm of Cyclones' is now 'The Universe of Portents'.

I will be attempting a potentially very difficult (but easy to describe) challenge. All artifacts must be made of dwarves or dwarven remains.
I'm not sure how I'm going to keep it running while everyone is on the brink of madness, so in order to prevent moods until the fortress is stable (haha) enough for me to start making people very unhappy, I'm going to keep almost everything above ground for a while.
