PLACEHOLDER:

Place a wall (or any other 1-tile structure) on all sides you do not want them to build from, and suspend construction to them, they won't stand there when building unless they have no other choice.

Walls can only be built in an orthagonal direction, while dwarves will move in all 8. This can be exploited to free a trapped dwarf.
