The Dwarf Fortress Archive Wiki

Welcome to the Dwarf Fortress Wiki. This is a collection of user-submitted guides, information and advice for "Dwarf Fortress". Dwarf Fortress is a game for Windows, Linux and Mac, developed by Bay 12 Games featuring two modes of play, as well as distinct, randomly-generated worlds (complete with terrain, wildlife and legends), gruesome combat mechanics and ubiquitous alcohol dependency.

A true dwarf does not care for pretty designs or "privacy". For a dwarf, a bedroom is a hole where he dumps his body for rest and his Useless crap for storage, to never touch again.
PSA: Expel all dwarves hospitalised by werebeasts. That's how you get weregiraffe Hammer Lords to suddenly pop up in your fort.
Windows Main 1 2 3 Small
Legacy 1 2 3 Small
Linux SDL
Mac (Intel) SDL
The version documented in this namespace is v0.31.25, released on March 28, 2011.
