i have an above ground fortress that requires lots of wood, and having made a deal with the elves, i want to only cut down the biggest trees. i found it very helpful to mod the DISPLAY_COLOR of willow, candlenut, and mango trees (the biggest trees in my biome), so i can easily pick them out. &lt;div&gt;I just had a king appear in my fort with a migrant wave that brought me from 13 dwarves to 24.  I haven't discovered adamantine, have only traded a few rough gems (appraiser said they were worth less than 200 total), haven't made ANY offerings to caravans, haven't smelted a single bar worth of ore, and the only craft I made was an artifact my jeweler made while possessed. &lt;div&gt;So I have just had some migrants move in with two male dwarves married to each other.  I don't know if this is a bug, or a happy accident, or if DF is becoming more progressive. I haven't had a chance to check/test in 0.40, however, in 0.34 a mother could give birth every 9.5 to 10 months.  I'll do some checking with my current for and update that with the data I gather if someone else hasn't done so by then. This doesnt seem to work anymore. Ive been trying to edit the raws within my save, e.g. renaming my noble positions, and nothing is happening. Id also like to be able to make loin cloths, etc, in my Clothier's Workshop, but could find no raws for it. So I tried to make a new custom workshop in building_custom, at first just copying and renaming the soap maker's workshop as SOAP_MAKER_B, but still nothing.&lt;br /&gt;

The caravan showed up, I started moving goods/broker, The liaison met with my manager before the caravan finished unloading, appointed the baron, and then the caravan was gone! In the future would it be best to lock away my manager until after the caravan leaves?&lt;br /&gt;

: Caravans spontaneously leaving are completely unrelated to liaison activity. The merchants leave instantly when one of their units gets killed, either a merchant, a draft or hauling animal, or a wagon (guards don't count). While removing floors/walls in my above-ground tower, a couple of times my dwarves have been injured, once quite badly, as well as a job cancelation. I assume its falling damage. Either something fell on him, or he himself fell. I thought tips to avoid this would be relevant on this page, or at least a warning of the possibility.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
