My entry to the trivia part of this article (about merchants selling barrels of gremlin tears, sweat and blood) got removed with the claim that this is true for every creature on the first cavern layer. However, I have never seen any other barrels of sweat or tears. Could someone verify this? A beak is a body part that can be generated from killing an animal, but not from butchering. Also, beaks, unlike tails or heads, can not be butchered or used in any way, but may be stored in refuse stockpiles.

There has been a report of a beak being claimed for use during a strange mood; the beak will be treated like regular bone and be listed as such in the finished artifact.

Bug Fixed?
"Finally, when the leader of an ambush is killed (or captured), but not the other units, they will stand around and "wait" for their leader; this is probably a bug." I thought that Toady fixed this. Does his fix apply to ambushes, and therefore this should be removed? Jwoodward48 (talk) 16:08, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Elven Ambush
I got ambushed by elves. Sadly, I thougth this might be commonplace, so I didn't take any pictures. The ambush consisted of about 8 elf bowmen (showing up as ë) and the message displaied was something along the lines of "An ambush! Curse all friends of nature!". It might be worth noting that this was the first contact my fortress had with elves. I guess our groups were already at war when I settled. I didn't write this in the article because I'm not sure about the exact circumstances. DurianGrey (talk)
