VALIS: 'Extract plants to barrel'

Will food production really drop in the winter any more, now that you can plant plump helmets then? --[[User:Alfador|Alfador]] 15:12, 2 November 2007 (EDT)

: It still will (though not as much):
:* reduced fishing (unless in a map that doesn't freeze over)
:* plump helmets are the only indoor winter crop (are you cooking plump helmets)?
:* outdoor crops don't like freezing

VALIS: Edited 'process plants to barrel' under the correct workshop. Noted it's non-functioning nature. Changed the text to match the selection in game.

The [[seed|seeds]] of subterranean crops may be brought from the starting screen or purchased from the [[dwarf]] traders. Above ground crops and seeds may be purchased from [[human]] or [[elf|elven]] traders or gathered by dwarves with the [[plant gathering]] labor enabled.
