Barrels are storage units that, like Template:Ls, Template:Ls and Template:Ls, conserve Template:L space by containing several items of the same type. They can be made out of Template:L at a Template:L (requires one Template:L for each barrel) or forged from Template:L at a Template:L (requires 1 Template:L Template:Ls). Non-magma Template:Ls also require one Template:L of Template:L.
For information on managing barrels in stockpiles, see Template:L.
When a barrel gets empty again after being used it will be used again after being hauled back to a furniture stockpile.
For most uses, barrels can be replaced by a stone, Template:L or Template:L Template:L.
Barrels are used in building Template:Ls and Template:L. Using a valuable masterwork or Template:L barrel to build one of these buildings can significantly increase fortress Template:L.
Bugs
Due to the Template:L, most metal items require only one metal bar to be constructed.v0.31.03 Once this is fixed each barrel will most likely require 3 bars of metal (as in previous versions).
