Horrors! Demons in the deep!

When a fortress is "too deeped" after mining too much raw adamantine, a Demon will be released from the depths of the earth. By returning to the fortress in Adventurer mode, you may attempt to slay the demon and avenge your fortress. Their attacks include projectile fireballs and hand to hand combat. They are living and as such are especially vulnerable to weapons with high critical boost such as spears and crossbow bolts.

Once the demon inhabiting a fortress is killed, all remaining raw adamantine, mined or not, will instantly turn into galena.
