Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A large, dangerous fish, often found hunting solitarily along coastlines.

The Hammerhead shark is one of many shark species implemented in Dwarf Fortress. They are enormous (about 500 kilo) and produce a fairly large amount of food when butchered. Like many other aquatic animals they don't produce bones.

They have a fairly high pet value of 500. Consider catching it alive with a fishery.

Hammerhead shark are named after the unusual and distinctive structure of their heads, which are flattened and laterally extended into a "hammer" shape called a "cephalofoil".
