Pedestals are created from [[wood]], [[stone]], [[glass]], or [[metal]] at a [[carpenter's workshop]], [[craftsdwarf's workshop]], [[glass furnace]], or [[forge]], respectively; while wood, stone, and glass only require 1 material to craft, metal requires 2 bars. At a forge, they are listed under "Other Objects" rather than "Furniture", and unlike most other furniture items, a metal pedestal is made using [[metalcrafting]], not [[blacksmithing]]. Pedestals are [[stockpile]]d as furniture, under "Other Large Tools".
