This article is about an older version of DF.

Honey is a type of food, produced as part of the beekeeping industry. To obtain honey, a honeycomb gathered from a hive is processed at a screw press. Honey is stored in a glazed, stone, or metal jug. As a by product of pressing a honeycomb, a bar of wax is also produced. Honey may be eaten, cooked at a kitchen, or brewed into mead at a still. Honey has a low value of 1. However, if you turn it into mead (which also has a value of 1 per unit), you can turn 1 unit of honey into 5 units of mead.
