Quality grades[edit]

Most crafted items (furniture, armor, bolts, etc.) are bracketed by characters that show the quality of their craftsdwarfship. Intermediate materials other than cloth (bars, blocks, etc.) do not have quality. Dyeing also has a quality level, as does Decorating/Encrusting (with gems, leathers, cloth, etc) and engravings. Prepared foods have quality levels.

Admiring furniture[edit]

Quality has an impact on the amount of happiness a dwarf gets from admiring furniture only to the extent that it contributes to the furniture's value.
