This article is about an older version of DF.

Pots are basically stone versions of Template:Ls. They can be made from Template:L at a Template:L, from stone by a Template:L at a Template:L, or from Template:L at a Template:L. Pots made from stone, Template:L, Template:L or Template:Ld Template:L are water-tight and can be used to store liquids, and even for Template:L. Unglazed earthenware can only be used for storing dry items. Pots are stored in the Tools section of the Finished Goods stockpile. Pots are visible on the haul-for-trade screen under Tools section. Workshops that require a barrel for construction cannot use a pot instead.

Bugs

  • Pots used for storing prepared meal seem to show unlimited capacity !!!

This can be convenient at starting your fortress but reveals dangerous after having developed a large domain, because due to dwarf store alike behaviour, all your fortress food falls in one container, hindering prepared food distribution throughout the fortress.

+ The empty pots go on every stockpile type

+ All lot of filled pots are stored on a wrong stockpile type

--> use the trade pot to redispatch correctly your badly stored pots or get rid of them when you have sufficient barrels ;)
