Purring maggots are a type of underground vermin. They are notable for being both the only underground and the only non-grazing source of milk. They are found near chasms, and may inspire an unhappy thought in any dwarf that encounters them.

Bugs[edit]

  • Tamed purring maggots can't be milked. Bug:3670
  • After being milked, purring maggots are left inside the workshop as an item. Bug:3668
