This article is about an older version of DF.

A pregnant (and married) female dwarf can have a miscarriage under extreme circumstances, including being dehydrated, starving, or sustaining a major injury while pregnant. This causes a negative thought (equivalent to losing a close friend or family member). With many other factors, your dwarf might snap which in most cases will almost always cause some fun.
