Do we know if covering the magma opening with the impassible tile is proof against all creatures, even potentially lava-dwelling building destroyers (if there is such a thing)? I can verify that covering the hole with the impassible tile WILL at least keep away things like magma crabs. MasterShizzle 00:40, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

:Presumably it behaves similar to the doors described in Building_destroyer#Destroying_from_underneath; that is, the building can be destroyed if the building destroyer has another suitable path to the building. It is not currently known exactly how long the "alternate path" may be (a convoluted example might involve a trip up a volcano, through your fortress entrance, and back down to your forge). Even with a much shorter path, the building destroyer may be able to path through your defenses to destroy the forge, and avoid your heavily-trapped entryway entirely. --Loci 00:56, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Not sure why there was a verify next to the text explaining that magma powered buildings do not consume magma, as they've never consumed the magma AFAIK, but consider it verified. --Naros 16:57, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Destroyer-safe?[edit]

Do we know if covering the magma opening with the impassible tile is proof against all creatures, even potentially lava-dwelling building destroyers (if there is such a thing)? Presumably it behaves similar to the doors described in Building_destroyer#Destroying_from_underneath; that is, the building can be destroyed if the building destroyer has another suitable path to the building.
