Underground tree farming doesn't seem to work the way it used to. Saplings in a mined-out area 1 z-level tall eventually die with no room to grow. I tried channeling instead to create some spaces with some overhead room. In a room with only 2 z-levels available, I eventually got 2 tower caps to grow into cuttable trees. Immediately after maturing, the trees yielded 1-2 logs. I imagine further growth is possible, but have yet to confirm; it's possible the restrictive ceiling will still eventually kill the tree. --[[User:Jaygengelbach|Jaygengelbach]] ([[User talk:Jaygengelbach|talk]]) 04:59, 4 September 2014 (UTC) | Underground tree farming doesn't seem to work the way it used to.
