:::As of 31.10 they can be killed by steel two-handed swords in arena mode. --That Guy 11:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC) | :::As of 31.10 they can be killed by steel two-handed swords in arena mode. --That Guy 11:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
::::I killed one in the arena with a single dwarf and a steel pick, after taking control of the dwarf. I found it was far more effective than the steel warhammer or the spear (dwarves dying, usually during retaliation while over-exerted), didn't care to try other weapons. I severed every limb until it was only head and torso left, that was the most difficult part, since the colossus still evades incoming attacks and torso or head attacks are more difficult. And in my fortress I killed another with a steel short sword (slashes in the head, and the severed part sails off in an arc), with a little help from other 20 soldiers with varied not-adamantine weapons and several war dogs and elephants. This was 0.31.18. --Oitohca 20:58, 21 November 2010 (UTC) | ::::I killed one in the arena with a single dwarf and a steel pick, after taking control of the dwarf. I wasn't sure how much the traps helped, but a sword dwarf was credited with the kill. This little guy looked quite proud having left the encounter unscathed. The swordmaster who did most of the work barely survived the fight.

:: But that's not a weapon, it's sock. Either they can wrestle away clothes too, or that dwarf used his sock as a weapon (biological weapon of mass destruction, obviously) and colossus decided to save the world by disarming him. :::"Yeah, normally they don't pick up weapons and items but they DO use those that they obtain through wrestling." Wrestling the clothes off of opponents has been a long-standing feature: in 40d, wrestlers would eventually end up naked and the barracks covered in drifts of mittens. In the current version, yetis and sasquatches have wrestled clothes away from dwarves before killing them. Maybe they use socks as protective hand gear while jamming their fists through dwarven skulls?JohnnyMadhouse 16:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC) | :::"Yeah, normally they don't pick up weapons and items but they DO use those that they obtain through wrestling."
