:Did you modded anything? Tigerman don't have a [PET_.... WTF?? Why do they have a [PET] tag? And anyway, shouldn't only your dwarves have thirst? And also, can it do jobs for you? It also has a skill because he has the [CAN_LEARN] tag so it can learn to do something, you can see this by the many underground animalmen, if they start wrestling, they will become wrestlers.--Niggy 18:16, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

:: No, I never modded anything. But tigermen DO have a petvalue in the raws. And I don't know, if he should not have thirst, but he was dehydrated, as I found in the wounds screen, and he went of to the drinking zone right away. So at least, he doesn't drink any booze, as it seems. He doesn't do any tasks. In the unit-screen, he's still listed under the wild animals, and if I view him and his preferences, it's stated that "This animal can't work". --Doub 18:33, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

:::Its right that they have a petvalue, but most animals have a petvalue tag. The interresting thing is, they have a [PET] tag, which makes them able to be tamed WITHOUT a dungeon master. So they are the only animalmen/only "intelligent" creature that can be tamed. Too bad, they don't do anything. That would have been so awesome if you could put them in your army. "Oh my, more goblins to slay." "Release the tigerman!"--Niggy 11:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Butchery of Tigermen
So I bought some Tigermen from the Elf merchant, and low and behold (before I finished reading the article) they were butchered just fine by my butcher.  Seemed to provide 30 meat as well as other assorted butchery items.  Also, the trash items (nervous system etc.) as well as the skull, leather and bones were listed as [name] instead of the generic tigerman.

Unfortunately these items are just sitting there in my Butcher's Shop, and are not being placed in their appropriate stockpiles (or being used for anything).

Can anyone else confirm this before I edit the article?

Feeding Tigermen
So the article mentions they'll only eat meat.  But I can't find any ethics tags in their raw....  will they eat meat that my dwarves won't?  Like say, goblin?  Or other tigermen, even?  Since I only have exactly one breeding pair of tigermen now, I can't test.  Gatherer818 13:53, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
