Discordography[edit]
This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable. |
The people of the Kitfox Discord communicate in Human language with the addition of a set of bespoke iconography with cryptic meanings. There are about 90 of these iconographic symbols; these are the most-popular of them:
Name | Iconography | Meaning | Origin |
---|---|---|---|
:hellmo: | Going on a rampage | Referencing Elmo's triumphant return after conquering HFS | |
:graaa: | Expressing frustration | The Snapjaw tribe of Hyena man found deep within the Caves of Qud | |
:kf_love: | Expressing affection | A Fox expressing its affection with the gift of a Dimple cup | |
:gorlak: | Gorlak is a state of mind. Used to represent a gorlak or as a serious face, like when you look at your friend after they say something so dumb you can't even smile. It can also be used in df situations in which you feel that way, for example, "damn, the fb had dust, and all my minions are death... " -> DF moment. Resume: Because of gorlak, df moment, or serious face (also as a primal reaction) | Gorlak from the underground Caverns | |
:df_urist: | Used to express a (cute) smile, or, ironically, for df moments or obvious stuff, like when someone ask something obvious, and you answer with something more obvious, "You need seed for a farm " | The famous Urist from the legendary Dwarven Fortress | |
:df_dwarf: | Used when you believe a situation is very df | a Dwarf with his iconic Beard | |
:babykobold: | Used to indicate you believe something to be cute | a Kobold hatchling | |
:dinomote: | Possibly used to indicate that you believe someone is being aggressive | Figurine of the constellation of Tudykosaurus Rex as detailed in the book "Could it be Astrography?" by Ostranauts | |
:Patch: | Used when something is in need of repair | A piece of Cloth used in the repair of a Garment |
