The lack of cognates makes it easier to infer from context the meaning of compound words. A vocabulary set with morphological etymology would be poorly suited to agglutinative compound word building, as similar meaning words would also sound similar.
For example, Lanlarbal means "bird tone" and Lanlarbål means "bird growth." If Bal and Bål were similar meaning words, the compounds Lanlarbal and Lanlarbål could easily be misheard or confused.
