If a dwarf would cancel "Rest" for whatever reason, will the dwarf still recover?

My situation; My injured Carpenter (Moderate wound to a leg; presumably can't walk.) was resting in bed. But, to my good (or bad) fortune, it had acquired a fey mood. It managed to hobble over to the workshop on it's wounded leg, but now that the artifact is complete it can't seem to leave, nor does it try to "rest" again. Do I need to convince another dwarf to pull it back over to the bed?--Mizzy 23:36, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Another dwarf seems to have brought it back. It just took awhile for some reason, and now the carpenter is resting again.--Mizzy 23:36, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Soldier Ignoring Rest

I have a wrestler with a broken arm, I think its a sparring injury. But he just does not want to rest. He's walking around normally and waiting at the meeting hall as if he was all right. BTW All my beds are inside. I tried deactivating him, putting him into Fortress/Royal Guard, stationing him at a bed but nothing worked. Help!!! What should I do!--Stinhad Limarezum 06:39, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

I believe arm injuries (even red ones?) do not necessarily impede a dwarf from his daily tasks, and don't trigger rest. It's been a while since I've seen a dwarf with an arm injury and nothing else, though.--Maximus 18:53, 21 October 2008 (EDT)
