Well that's one more sin crossed off the to-do list.

And here comes some further opportunities.

1st of Granite

I have 'volunteered' for duty to the King. Honestly, you make one little social gaffe, and suddenly it's a diplomatic crisis, with far-reaching implications. To keep ahead of those implications, and reaches, it's imperative to find an army to be in the middle of, and a rock to hide behind. And dammit, apparently I may have to dig out the rock to hide behind. I mean, there are limits.

Some people take their wives far too posessively. I had to sew those damn pants on, lest I forget how to walk

I've packed a t(rusty) crossbow, just in case a quick exit is needed.

So, "Rampageterror". Charming name.

First impressions: "The fuck is that thing up there, by jove? A tomb? Huzzah, let's fill it!"

"You call this a farm?"

"Capital weapon traps. Shame about Hudson getting caught in one, what what? No, old chap, I was talking to the commander in the control room. Nowhere near the fellow"

"'ello lass! Sorry about that, it's the cramped corridors, donchaknow? Care for a quick tete-a-tete in the brewery?"

I was rudely interrupted by my servant coming up & whispering that there was no food. Or booze. But lots of dogs. Jolly good, just like back home cooking really. I sketch a quick plan of some farms & head outside for a quick fag. And shag.

And noticed then, the lack of training grounds, large strong looking meatshields or fortifications. To deal with this everyone is drafted into the Fortress Guards (except for the farmers), to learn how to take a punch or two. And to act as the 'skin' of the fortress - keep the outside out, and the insides in. Meanwhile, I can take care of my own skin, thank you very much. This door locks, right?

12th of Granite

The elves arrive. Capital, free items.

Hilarity ensues 01.png

Not to be, unfortunately. Still, gives a good dummy test of the battle plan: Push the army out the front, exhorting them to glory, then lock the door, hide under the bed and blub.

Hilarity ensues 02.png

Hilarity only increase, with the appearance of a third party and the elves dismal showing. Fortunately, my Gem Cutter charges forwards to defend Dwarven honour.

He didn't do so hot.

The rest of the wrestlers (wrest of the resting?) charge in.

GLORIOUS VICTORY!!

I don't believe any elves decided to complete the journey to the depot. I was unaware, having supervised the women. The children can take care of themselves

(Kazap, I don't think you're long for the world)

To complete the festivities, a snatcher bumps into one of the dwarves.

Lumbersmack 1.png

He's a lumberjack & he's ok.

Wait, she's a lumberjack & she's ok.

18th Granite

Another ambush?

Second Ambush 01.png

4 dwarves take a dirt sleep. The dopey buggers. Shoulda bashed harder. I think we need Doc out here, stat!

3rd of Slate

The mayor orders the construction of 2 weapon racks. Perfect! A place to put the brandy!

7th of Slate

The militia has been decommissioned, and the workforce specialized. Now, whenever a gobbo pops his god-forsaken head out, it can easily be twisted off & sent back to the maker. Even by the cheesemaker.

13th of Slate

Sorry Kazap. But, if you build a tomb for yourself, you'll probably going to be filling it. Sooner, rather than later.

Kazap's Tomb.png

15th of Slate

The Mayor went berko. His contract has been retro-actively written, to include "No idiotic behaviour will be tolerated, under pain of hammering"

Strange Mayor.png

Evidently, he was trying to sneak into Kazap's tomb. The dirty sod.

19th Slate

I have decided to open the magma floodgate, and fill the channel, to which a previous ruler has placed some magma structures over.

Why? Cause I wanna. Now, to find a suitable peasant, give him his singular order & get the real miners to take a quick walk around the block.

8th of Felsite

Still getting there, the piking bastard.

Opener.png

No guilt. Only laughing.

Summer

Nothin really. Food production continues. A miner dies whilst enlarging the lava flow, because apparently

IT'S A BAD IDEA TO JUMP INTO LAVA!!

17th Limestone

Another few ambush parties arrive. Unfortunately, no elves to soak the punishment and ....

RT-Third Ambush 01.png

Having slaughtered a dog, a child & 3 adults, they then flee. Oh,

AND A DONKEY!

And a cowardly thief inflicted this grevious wound.

For Jenkin's leg! [1]

24th Limestone

Jenkin's leg is avenged

RT-Jenkin's - Aftermath.png

And then some!

Merchants came & merchants went. Boredom was setting in, so I was in a tent, teaching the natives our proud culture.

26th of Timber

RT-Magma 01.png

Finafuckingly! Magma is beginning to be operational!

O yeah, the migrants. Complete forgot the fuckers, what with this busy schedule

Eh. All 7 are rather forgettable. Drafted into the Guard, until they get to EPA levels (Expert, Professional or Accomplished Wrestlers), and can be relied on to conduct an assault. While the higher-ups push from behind. About 35 miles behind.

14th of Moonstone

Guess what?

RT-The Corridor 01.png

Ambush!

RT-The Corridor 02.png

The toll is rather heavy.

THE CORRIDOR OF DEATH! YOU STUPID BASTARDS!

RT-The Corridor 03 - Diggs.png

I can see this not ending well (more than he can do)

NO YOU STUPID FUCK!

RT-The Corridor 04 - Idiot.png

Finally, the dogs turn up & the human runs away

Toll: 10 dwarves. 2 dogs. Diggs was a valiant part of the corridor of doom. Worst. Ambush. Ever

19th moonstone

I have ordered the corridor sealed to prevent that shit ever happening again.

Oh, and the tailor's started his construction.

Construction 01.png

I have a bet with the guard. 5 bucks says it menaces

Construction 02.png Construction 03.png

Longest name ever

24th Obsidian

RT-Workshops Done!.png

The channel is complete, finally, and production of weapons & armour has begun.

1st of Granite

Well, that was horror on a stick.

Recap:

RT-The Corridor 05 - Later Life.png

Sealed. I recomend leaving it so, as a monument to stupidity. Or, enlarging it to remove the stupid.

RT-Recap - Farms.png

Farms & Mason workshops, to clear the ground, build up some skill & give blocks.

All the dwarves have custom professions, to specialize the work & make it easy to note who does what.

......That's about it. Good luck, and watch out for those fucking gobbos!
