This article is about an older version of DF.

An aquarium holds fish and is made of glass. To create one, first construct a terrarium at a glass furnace. A terrarium is a glass cage, so you can't build a terrarium or an aquarium in a sandless (and thus glassless) region. Once it has been built, a terrarium may be turned into an aquarium by pressing q then w. Dwarves can place captured live fish into an aquarium. Aquariums work like terrariums and cages, and they can be designated as zoos.
