Crops are Template:Ls that may be grown at Template:L. There are two basic types of crops: above ground (AG) and subterranean (or underground, UG). The Template:L of Template:L may be brought from the starting Template:L screen or, with some small luck, purchased from dwarven Template:Ls. Above ground crops and seeds may be purchased from Template:L or Template:L caravans or gathered by dwarves with the Template:L labor enabled. Seeds may also be collected by processing the plants or eating them (but not by cooking!).

A few of the plants listed below are not strictly crops as such as they have no seeds and can't be planted (see note "3", below.)

Most plants can be Template:Led into Template:Ls, each plant type producing a different variation, and dwarves do prefer some variety in their drink. Some plants may be eaten raw, others must be cooked first, others must be processed first (by Template:L or Template:L) before they are edible, and still others are inedible, producing only non-food products. All drinks may be cooked into meals.

Plants, drinks and products have their values multiplied by how many items are created from a single plant Template:L.

All drinks require a spare Template:L for storage, and some other products also require specific Template:Ls for storage. Plants can be stored in barrels or individually; seeds are stored individually or in bags which can then be put into barrels.

Habitat note: In the following table, "(Dry)" means that the plant does not grow within two squares of any natural water source (pond/river/etc), and "(Wet)" means that it only grows within two squares of any natural water source. Thus Template:L's "Wetland (Dry)" means that it grows in wetlands, but just not right next to water.

Notes:

1) The value of five units of drink/syrup, for comparison with Template:L, Template:Ls, etc. A Template:L of a plant produces 5x its size in drink/syrup.
2) Anything that can be Template:Led is edible afterwards. Cooking leaves no Template:Ls for re-planting.
3) These plants cannot be grown on a Template:L. They can only be acquired through Template:L (in season only) or Template:L.
4) These plants cannot be eaten until they are further processed, either by Template:L or by Template:L, or (for Template:L) either; see "products" column for final product and necessary Template:L:
