This article is about an older version of DF.

Fire snakes are fire-proof Template:L. They spawn only around Template:L sites, which are defined as the original Template:L, not channels that carry magma away from Template:Ls or Template:Ls. They may start fires, so don't locate Template:L (or Template:L or Template:L) stockpiles near magma (or passages leading to magma) unless you have ample Template:L [Verify] (Cats ignore snakes? See talk page).

Fire snakes may be safely caught in animal traps made from wood or metal, though attempting to capture a live fire snake from a Template:L seems to fail (with "live fire snake has burned its way out of confinement!") if the animal trap was made from an unusual material as the result of a Template:L.

Liquid fire is an Template:L derived from Template:Ls at a Template:L by a dwarf with the Template:L labor enabled. It has no known use except as a trade good, worth 500☼ per vial (plus the value of the vial itself). A glass vial is required - for some reason, metal flasks will not be used.v0.28.181.40d
