Lignite is one of the two mineral sources of fuel. It produces 2 coke for each unit processed at any type of smelter. However, if processed at a standard smelter, this processing consumes a unit of fuel, leaving a net gain of 1 fuel. If lignite is processed at a magma smelter, the net gain is 2 fuel.

Lignite is flammable. (It should not be necessary to add that it is not a fire-safe material.)
