40d:Miners guild
The Mayor can sometimes receive "requests" from the Miners Guild. This will show up in your announcements as "(Name), Mayor has taken a request from the Miners Guild." shortly followed by "(Name), Mayor has mandated that certain jobs be completed."
Afterwards, the little bastard will have "Complete Miners Guild Jobs (x/y)" in his mandates. Miners guild jobs are completed by simply digging out squares - one square for one job.
