Spears are long stabbing weapons. Spears do 100 damage, with a +2 chance of critical hits (i.e. internal injuries). Spears are more likely to get stuck in enemies than swords. They are also less likely to dismember enemies, leaving fewer body parts for the dwarfs to clean up.

Spears, like other metal weapons, can be made from copper, iron, bronze, bismuth bronze, steel, or silver. Occasionally elven traders may have wooden spears to sell.

Spears, like all weapons, can be used in weapon traps; unlike other weapons, they can also be used in upright spear traps.
