:Just did a tiny test fortress on a throwaway world. They don't work in adventure mode. With traps enabled, I'm getting a weird freeze thing happening which opens up a second window. I haven't the foggiest idea what is going on. --[[User:Pickle|Pickle]] 10:04, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

==Build order causes delays==

I'm linking so this thread doesn't get lost.

It was found that when you build the bridge before you build a pressure plate the delay is 100 ticks, when you biuld it after the delay is 101 ticks.

== Description of the Mechanics ==

I think the description of the mechanics should contain a simple example, as for now the text does not really explain how pressure plates work. The example with the flood gate is not helpful: The preparing step with the lever obscures, which state of the gate will be the "activated" one. Is the gate "activated" when closed and will be "activated" as soon as the water level leaves the "allowed range"? Or is it "active" when open and will thus "activate" when the water level enters the range?

When I built my first pressure plate, I wanted it to open a hatch when it had water level 7 on it (and close when it had no more water on it), so I set the plate to "7 to 7" just to find out that it would open the hatch as soon as touched by a single droplet of water then leaving it open for some arbitrary time, then again closing the hatch while still submersed, then letting water level rise to 4 or 5 until opening again. What went wrong there and which "range" should I give the plate? -- [[Special:Contributions/92.206.154.13|92.206.154.13]] 00:38, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
