== Year One - 228 ==
Solon Almoshkeskal (hunter) discovered a magma pool and a group of fire-imps within. Solon killed one fire-imp, but the other fire-imps blew him into pieces, dwarf parts flying everywhere. He managed to get one shot off before dying and critically wounded the hand of his final killer. '''''Shieldrisen has claimed its first victim.'''''

The dwarves want revenge, the woodcutter and miner join the military to destroy the imps. One imp is unconcious (with a mangled hand...) so Dakost the miner puts his lights out permanently with his mining pick as he walks past. '''''FIRST BLOOD TO THE LIVID SWORD!'''''

The final fire imp crawls out of its magma pit just as Kikrost (woodcutter) chops it apart.

During the summer time, a pair of Kobold thieves (Thodokaymbin and Shufuduslunkus) stole the bronze crossbow and a steel bolt previously belonging to Solon Almoshkeskal. Curses!

8 migrants arrived towards the end of the year ready for work...

The rest of the year was peaceful and quiet, as we prepared and stockpiled for the future.

== Year Two - 229 ==

This year, elf traders arrived so we took their alcohol and cloth products.

In the spring, 18 migrants arrived bringing us to 32 dwarves in total.
Kobold thief Stlukreerbus attempted to steal from the fort but was shot down by marksdwarf Litast Bidokmonom 

In the summer, another 5 migrants have arrived
A metalsmith (Erush Logemiseth) went beserk and started attacking people, but was killed pretty quickly ripped apart by hunting dog Zulbanshin "Bannerbright"

Several kobold thieves tried their luck and failed

A sasquatch named Stukonolon ("Squashedgear") arrived and killed the hunter Stakud Rulkikrost. We mobilised a killteam comprising the woodcutter, a miner, a peasant and the one fulltime marksdwarf and proceeded to hunt Stukonolon down. Catten Likotkekath (former peasant) battered the Sasquatch down the cliff until it was dead.

Rigth Gimalth, one of our bonecarvers, went fey and carved a legendary amulet - Limarmosos, "The Wealthy Tragedy". Base Value - 13200. 

In the autumn, 9 migrants arrived, including a replacement ranger/hunter (convenient...)

== Year Three - 230 ==

A leatherworker, Adil Nishidos, has gone stark raving mad and is running around babbling up and down the main entranceway. He has kept his clothes on however. His complaints include drinking the same old booze, the "nasty water", and hunger! Eventually he starved to death.

18 Migrants arrived mid-spring

Shorast Eddudlorbam (a bowyer) was taken by a foul mood. After some construction he has created Kastaz Esesh, "The Conjunction of Spinning", a chestnut bow, valued at 9600.

During the early autumn, a small goblin ambush party arrived on top of the main mountain, ambushing our ranger Zulban Logemsirab "Paintwarm". Luckily Zulban managed to shoot and knock-out the only goblin crossbowman, and proceeded to fire down at the other ambushers. Eventually they got into close range with him and one of our war dogs. A goblin maceman eventually struck him down, knocking him down the cliffside. Our 3 marksdwarves quickly arrived on scene and peppered the goblins with bolts, before charging after them and slaughtering them as they fled. In all, 5 goblins were slain/routed for the loss of Zulban and 3 war dogs (including "Standardtrotted", one of our heroic war dogs).

Based on the recent ambush, I've drafted 4 dwarves into a close combat squad and begun training them. Heavy platemail armour all round.

Udil Adilalis, a cheesemaker, had a fey mood and created Othroder "knotbalded", a turtle shell idol worth 2400.

== Year Four - 231 ==

Various slugmen and snailmen have been captured in our cage traps, so some form of death pit is being developed to help train our young recruits.

Early spring - an ambush of goblins! At the same time as an elven caravan is unloading at the trade depot. 
Enemy count is - 
2 goblin wrestlers
4 goblin axemen
1 goblin spearman

Almost immediately they wander into our cage traps, and at least 2 goblins are captured! The remainder push on to attack and are met by our 4 strong wrestler squad and Domas Sastresunib "Princessrag" the Marksdwarf on duty at the trade depot and taken down. In honour of their bloodshedding, I authorise the four wrestlers to begin training with real weapons, seeing as they are used to fighting (and moving) in their platemail armour.

No sooner is this first ambush over when another group of goblins appear, right next to the trade depot, 4 wrestlers, 2 spears and 1 maceman. They charge straight at the elves at the trade depot (running through my perimeter traps in the process) and begin fighting the elves. Domas Sastresunib "Princessrag" arrives at the depot in time to smash one goblin in the face as well. Bits of elves, goblins, blood and vomit splatters all over the trade depot - the majority of the elves seem to survive however.

Mid-spring, 19 migrants arrived including a dungeon master. 

In the early summer, a stonecrafter creates Satdalzat Oltarogtum "Strokematched the Gilded Morass", a siltstone piccolo worth 57600. On the item is an image of a goblin and a dog in lace agate. The goblin is making a plaintive gesture – the dog is laughing.

Then in the 11th Hematite, early summer, our first siege arrives. Thus began '''Aslez Sukxusm ''“The War of Squeezing”'''''. 
This first siege was known as '''Estosp Exuz ''“The Sieges of Clashing”'''''.

The enemy included –
1 goblin spearmen
4 goblin wrestlers
3 goblin axemen
and 1 beak dog
After some bitter fighting on the cliffsides, and the loss of several hunting and war dogs, the goblins fled the scene. 

Mid-autumn, another 8 migrants arrived

One of our butchers has created a legendary spear – Ogokol “Clubvoices”, a turtle bone spear (valued at 10,800)

Had a few ambushes around this time as well, no dwarf losses other than a number of wardogs

We have begun throwing the captured goblins into a pit, but it looks like the pit isn’t deep enough to kill or even seriously wound the scum, so we now have 5 or 6 kranky goblins stomping around down the bottom of this hole. They seem to have started attacking each other as well, as they are getting knocked unconscious regularly and are gaining new wounds.
