I'm always forgetting how pressure plates work. If I'm remembering it right this time, the range you put in when building it (i.e. water 1-5) is when the plate is in the on/open state. Half the time I do it backwards & have to rebuild it. So that seems like an important bit of info that the Pressure plate page ought to have. I feel that I am wording this poorly, so if anyone would like to do better at it, please do so. --[[User:TypoD|TypoD]] ([[User talk:TypoD|talk]]) 14:25, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

--TypoD (talk) 14:25, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

The value you enter is the "trigger condition": the plate will activate (send an 'on' signal) whenever conditions match the trigger conditions, and reset (send an 'off' signal) whenever conditions do not match for 99 consecutive ticks.--Loci (talk) 20:51, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
