Hello.

This is the Dwarf Fortress Wiki outpost of the Grammar Patrol. Grammar Patrol is an organization that helps every wiki on the internet with grammar, spelling, and typo fixing.
Actually, its really just a nickname for edits I tend to make. When you see "grammar patrol was here" in an edit summary, then it means I have been there fixing a single grammar error, spelling mistake or typo.
+
There is a difference between all of those:
+
* Grammar is the way you write sentences. A grammar error example is: "I '''go''' to the store and '''bought''' milk". This should either be "I '''went''' to the store and bought milk", OR "I go to the store and '''buy''' milk".
+
* Spelling is the way you write a word. A spelling error example is: "Why dont you go hel'''b''' her?" This should obviously be "Why dont you go hel'''p''' her?"
+
* A typo is an unintentional form of the above 2. A typo is really just the same as a grammar error or spelling error, but unintentional.
+
What I mean with intentional versus unintentional is, for example, a French person learning english and not following a grammar rule, not knowing that the rule he is breaking exists. This is my definition of an intentional mistake.
+
An unintentional mistake is, of course, just when I type too fast or just miss a key and write "hekko there" instead of "hello there" because these keys are near each other.
+
Another typo example(it just happened to me): "a tpyo is an unintentional spelling error".
Isnt that just ironic?
