OluapPlayer cancels User Page Introduction: Interrupted by a troglodyte.

I'm OluapPlayer. I like dwarves and fortresses. Not much else to say, really.

If I'm doing something wrong, do tell me.

Some random tidbits about my DF experience:

  • Lost my first fort to a goblin siege.
  • Lost my second fort to weregila monsters.
  • Lost all subsequent forts to FPS death.
  • Trained crundles all the way to Expert-level. I never want to see a crundle again.
  • Once reclaimed a retired fort to find it flooded in areas where there was no water before.
  • Made a couple of modded creatures for myself. Modding creatures is surprisingly fun.

I can be found at:

Creatures I've modded into my game
  • Lesser Dragons (none have fire breath)
    • Wyvern = two-legged dragon with wings and a stinger tail
    • Amphiptere = limbless winged dragon
    • Drake = four-legged, wingless dragon (more or less vanilla dragon but smaller I guess)
    • Wyrm = limbless, wingless dragon
    • Lindworm = legless dragon with two arms
  • Herbivorous critters
    • Catoblepas = big bull-like things with paralyzing breath
    • Jackalope = bunny with antlers
    • Pegasus = horse with wings
    • Hippogriff = flying half-eagle half-horse
    • Kirin = equine with scales and antlers
  • Dwarf-eating carnivores
    • Cockatrice = small chicken with paralyzing bite
    • Basilisk = large serpent with paralyzing bite
    • Manticore = large feline-like beast, shoots quills (bones) from its poisonous tail stinger, winged but flightless
    • Gargoyle = subterranean creature made of granite, can be trained for war and hunting
    • Chupacabra = rare desert reptile, sucks blood on bite attacks
  • Good humanoids
    • Undine = female-only race, associated with water, attacks cause lung impairing to simulate ondine's curse
    • Naiad = more or less the same as the undine but without the syndrome
    • Sylph = female-only race, associated with wind, small and has wings
  • Evil humanoids and monsters
    • Orc = essentially a smaller troll
    • Hobgoblin = essentially a bigger goblin

    • Hellhound = evil dog
    • Ghoul = evil undead who eats your food
    • Wendigo = evil, enraged monster found only in cold regions
    • Succubus = made to be part of the HFS, currently get killed by it because demons are mod-unfriendly
  • Semi-megabeasts
    • Pus Dragon = a dragon who breathes balls of pus. Just imagine the scene
    • Gashadokuro = cyclops-sized skeletons who eat everything they can get their hands into
  • Misc
    • Fire Salamander = small friendly amphibian, lives in magma
    • Phoenix = bird made of fire, lives in magma
    • Talking Tree = giant humanoid tree, aka treant or ent
