New Fort Checklist[edit]

  1. Draw new fort
    • start simple: barracks, partial grand hall, partial trade depot, small office
    • should keep the miners busy
  2. Adjust Jobs
    • remove stone/item/food hauling from miners and woodcutter
    • add architect to the others
  3. Unload wagon (create stockpiles):
    • Wood
    • Food
    • Furniture (don't want your anvil stolen)
    • stone (only for stone you brought along)
    • bar/block (for your bars and blocks
  4. Designate Plants to Gather
    • should keep the herbalist busy
  5. Designate Trees to fell
    • will keep the woodcutter busy once he has an axe
  6. Allow some mining to occur to get some stone to build with
    • Build Mason's Workshop
    • Build Carpenter's Workshop
    • Build Smelter
    • Build forge, wood furnace and smelter
  7. Create Axe
    • smelt copper
    • make charcoal
    • forge copper axe
  8. Create Beds
    • should keep the carpenter busy
  9. Create Doors Tables and Chairs
    • will keep your mason busy for a bit.

  10. Buildings
    • build beds into a barracks
    • build your Trade Depot
    • build your meeting hall
    • build your office
    • build your kitchen
    • build your still
