So I had my two-[[floodgate]] system for letting [[magma]] into the trench below my smelting and forging rooms, each floodgate hooked up to a separate [[lever]]. The 'downstream' gate was right next to the [[ramp]] down which the magma was meant to [[flow]]. The upstream floodgate worked fine, and the magma went into the trench fine, but when I attempted to close the downstream gate, it re-appeared at the bottom of the channel.
