Also, I apologize for how long it is (3 lines). It doesn't show when reading a page, but it does when editing. I'll look into using a template, although text gradients are tricky with CSS and only work really well in Webkit, and I'm not special enough to use Javascript in a template. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

Update: It now uses :Template:tc, which brings it down to 1 line on my screen (it could be longer on a smaller screen). Hopefully that works for now. --#093#084#075#066#057#048#039#02a (#20b#509#807#a06) 18:03, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:03, 23 February 2013

If you're curious, this is what I use for my signature. You can use this style for your own if you want.

I use a template for my signature because it allows me to preview it (the prefs page forces me to save first). Unfortunately, SUBST: is automatically prepended to the template code by the wiki, so I can't have my old sigs change (although it's probably meant to reduce server strain, which is good).

Update: It now uses Template:tc, which brings it down to 1 line on my screen (it could be longer on a smaller screen). Hopefully that works for now. --Lethosor (talk) 18:03, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

I'm using this as a test page, because it was easier than creating a sandbox. Feel free to leave comments on my talk page instead.

Tests

Old (before creating this page, using 4 tildes) Lethosor (talk) 15:48, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Next (with template for sig): Lethosor (talk) 15:49, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Looks like sigs force use of SUBST... Lethosor (talk) 15:57, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Improved: Lethosor (talk) 16:01, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Less obtrusive in source: Lethosor (talk) 16:02, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Test to make sure noinclude works: Lethosor (talk) 16:17, 23 February 2013 (UTC) ...good (I don't like random links all over the pages I sign)

Again, now using a shorter template: Lethosor (talk) 18:00, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
