I use a template for my signature because it allows me to preview it (the prefs page forces me to save first). <s>Unfortunately, <code>SUBST:</code> is automatically prepended to the template code by the wiki, so I can't have my old sigs change </s>. Turns out SUBST is only 1 level deep, so I can use another template.

Also, I apologize for how long it is (3 lines). It doesn't show when reading a page, but it does when editing. I'll look into using a template, although text gradients are tricky with CSS and only work really well in Webkit, and I'm not special enough to use Javascript in a template. If you have any suggestions, [[User talk:Lethosor|let me know]].
