This article is about an older version of DF.

One of the two mineral sources of Template:L, Lignite is found in Template:Ls in Template:Ls. When processed at a Template:L or Template:L, one unit of lignite produces 2 units of Template:L. If done at a regular Template:L, this processing requires one pre-existing unit of fuel (either Template:L or coke), leaving a net production of 1 fuel.

Lignite is flammable, but will never melt, burning indefinitely. This quality has applications in some fire-based Template:L.
