If I went around removing everything I didn't think was funny the quotes page would be cut in half, but I try to respect other people's content and acknowlege other people's sense of humor.''' --Corona688, responding to a conversation one month old}} | |
+ | Go for it. Delete the ones you think suck. If they really are popular they will end up back in there through the [[http://dwarf.lendemaindeveille.com/index.php/Talk:Main_Page/Quote#When_to_add_quotes:|guidelines]]. This idea of letting content sit there, no matter what it is, just because someone else put it there. What kind of results come from that kind of system? :Editing on a wiki is no no way a permanent change since everything is preserved in the history. Changing the article, either by adding things or removing them, is an expression of how you think the article is better off looking. Just putting things on the talk page rather than putting it in yourself makes things move at glacial speeds, so it's generally better to risk a little bit of conflict by just editing it into the article and then peacefully resolving anything that comes out of it. | :Editing on a wiki is no no way a permanent change since everything is preserved in the history. − | :The reason I'm writing on your talk page rather than the quote page is because the quote page issues have long since been settled. You can see the result [[Talk:Main_Page/Quote#When_to_add_quotes:|here]]. This conversation is about your editing philosophy rather than what you want to happen on the quote page.
