I think we should make some additions to this page about what different background colors mean. For example, on the "overview map" (map on the right once you have embarked), it seems that tiles have a blue background if they contain swarves and a red background if they contain potentially dangerous creatures. An interesting thing I noticed was that the blue tiles appear on all z-levels, regardless of the location of dwarves, while the red tiles always seem to appear only at ground level (at least for above-ground creatures). I'm not exactly sure where to put this though, since this page is about the ''world'' map, but I do think information on this topic would be helpful.
