- No it's not. It's actually a horseman's axe (slightly longer handle for use when mounted on a horse) because I couldn't find a good picture of an dwarven battle axe on wikimedia commons. Incidentally, this picture is what wikipedia currently uses on their battle axe page as well. A halberd is a polearm with a much longer handle (5-6 feet). Loci (talk) 20:17, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
