Stone Detailing is the labor required to smooth and engrave stone floors and walls, and to create fortifications. Detailing is a time consuming process, compared to other tasks, even for a talented worker. The surface must be smoothed first, and can then be designated to be engraved or made into a fortification. It is not possible to engrave constructed walls and floors.
Depending on the amount of engraving one wants to archive, it might be necessary to assign about one dwarf in 20 to this labor.
