Flatland Template:Ls form in areas with low to moderate rainfall and moderate drainage. In order of increasing rainfall, they include grasslands, savannas, and shrublands. They come in Template:L and Template:L varieties.
Template:Ls often build towns in flatlands.
Resources
Flatlands contain fewer Template:Ls than forests, although they usually have enough to get by unless you need large amounts of wood for Template:L. They are covered in Template:L, and other Template:Ls are plentiful. Temperate grasslands are notable as the only source of Template:Ls.
Flatlands have one or more Template:L Template:Ls, possibly including an Template:L. They usually have plenty of Template:Ls, and often have Template:Ls or even Template:Ls (with their associated Template:L). They tend to have less Template:L than Template:Ls, but as with any biome, you can find some if you dig down a few Template:Ls and look hard enough.
Creatures
Flatlands have a very diverse natural population. Fortresses built on flatlands should take advantage of the wildlife, and players might even consider establishing a ranch.
- Template:Ls and Template:Ls live in temperate flatlands.
- Template:Ls, Template:Ls, and several varieties of large felines live in tropical flatlands. Savage tropical flatlands may have the giant versions of those felines.
- Some Template:L creatures also live in shrublands (but not grasslands or savannas), such as Template:Ls, Template:Ls, and Template:Ls (tropical); Template:L (temperate); and Template:Ls (both).
- Some Template:L creatures also live in temperate grasslands, such as Template:L, Template:L, and (if evil) Template:L.
- Template:L flatlands (temperate or tropical) may contain Template:L and Template:Ls.
