In arena mode, it is being trained in 1x1 unarmed combat. Perhaps it is observing your opponent and seeing their next move, or weak points, or something. [[Special:Contributions/24.22.117.251|24.22.117.251]] 03:06, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

How do you train this ability?

I have no idea, but if it helps, I had a blacksmith go Berserk and chase a Dwarven Child for a few days across a frozen glacier, and the child that was being chased is now a Legendary Observer(and very injured).

When he appeared, he had novice observer, and he was attacked right after he migrated, so I guess somehow being chased around was what made him a legendary observer.

His stats are: "He has an astonishing feel for the position of his own body, an iron will, very good creativity, and a good spacial sense."

  • Followup: He died, so I won't be able to gather data on what a Legendary Observer actually DOES.

The observer skill is being trained when soldiers train. I have observed it myself, and I've seen other people mentioning it, especially in this thread: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=62422.0

I will update the article to reflect this information.
