I was attacked by a cyclops during my second year. I had a very meager military force of only 15 or so dorfs. One squad was armed with training weapons and the other had training weapons and crossbows with wooden bolts. Somehow, my dorfs killed the cyclops with no causalities. This same force was later wiped out by goblins (who they outnumbered) even though they were armed with iron weapons and armor. This was my only fight against a cyclops (new player), but it seemed too weak to be right. Anyone have any thoughts? I was attacked by a cyclops during my second year. I had a very meager military force of only 15 or so dorfs. One squad was armed with training weapons and the other had training weapons and crossbows with wooden bolts. Somehow, my dorfs killed the cyclops with no causalities. This same force was later wiped out by goblins (who they outnumbered) even though they were armed with iron weapons and armor. This was my only fight against a cyclops (new player), but it seemed too weak to be right. Anyone have any thoughts? The_Dorfen_Spartan 01:21, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Cyclops are really not that dangerous. I sent in my military when one showed up. Now they were pretty well trained. Level 12 or so swordsdwarf, the first dwarf got there before anyone else, the cyclops never even got in an attack. The dwarf missed, then slashed his arm, destroying it, then nailed him a couple times in the head and that was it.--Crossmr 12:12, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
