It would be very nice to have updated data and an updated version of this article. ----– unsigned comment by Calite
Inaccurate/confusing information[edit]
- "1 GB of RAM is absolutely sufficient" - Considering OS late games and/or commonly used 3d party tools, I think this it should state at least 2GB of RAM or even 4GB PC.
- "World Generation can eat up far more than that - it's possible to encounter crashes due to being out of memory." - True, I had 2 crashes with 2GB in my recent look up. Though, it crashed on me on my home PC with 8GB, using default setting, so maybe its not just memory issues.
- "The most important thing to the performance .. is undoubtedly RAM latency" - true and yet it doesn't expand what is required. I had DDR2 and DDR3 systems both hit FPS wall after several game years.
- The 'Experiential reports' are extremely skewed, showing way abobe average systems.– unsigned comment by 84.111.101.105
