Oink sound[edit]

I just checked that easter egg out, turns out that it always plays during the intro, it's just masked by saying the "quality" word. When you hold the title bar it just pauses the program so you can hear them separately.--Richards 18:49, 12 May 2008 (EDT)

Interestingly, I just got it to happen in a fresh embark, but if I try the same in my 30+ year-old fortress, it doesn't work. Perhaps the easter egg goes away once the dungeon master arrives? --Quietust 15:51, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

In fact, I seem to recall that in the old 2D version, you couldn't actually make electrum until the dungeon master arrived, while the 3D version allows you to make it from the beginning (considering that electrum occurs naturally and was used thousands of years ago for currency). --Quietust 15:55, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Tested in both a fortress with and without a dungeon master, roughly of the same age (3 or so years - the one without has only ~40 dwarves and no immigrants because of an unfortunate accident with the queen while the one with has about ~70). The Electu trick works without a dungeon master, but it doesn't with. Can't really be bothered to put up confirmation, though, so I hope my own word's enough. 64.81.169.20 01:49, 30 November 2009 (UTC) P.S. I did a test in a relatively young fort, and typing "ELEC" followed by anything other than the consequent letters of "electrum" generates the message. Sizik 01:23, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
