This article is about an older version of DF. |
Bones are obtained when butchering Template:L or taking apart skeletons.
Skeletons are the last step of the Template:L procedure. After a Template:L begins to rot, no Template:L can be created from it, and it will eventually rot into a skeleton. The skeleton has to be taken to the Template:L and "butchered" to be torn apart into Template:Ls and bones afterwards.
Bones can be made into Template:Ls at a Template:L, and Template:L, Template:Ls, Template:Ls, Template:Ls, or Template:Ls at a Template:L. Note that Template:L made out of bone can be used by dwarves assigned a Template:L of Template:L armor.
Unlike in previous versions, bones are now counted as "body parts" for the purposes of stockpiles and the stocks menu.
